I see internal conflict between Nettie and Mr. ___ because he's such an abusive person towards her. He hits her and beats her many times, but in front of people he acts so friendly, nice and perfect. Whenever Nettie is about to see her father, she seems extremely happy, but Mr. ___ doesn't. He's quite uncomfortable about the idea.
I see foreshadowing between Cellie and Shug. The way Shug starts showing affection towards Cellie. She does many things that show it and I start thinking that they are going to develop feelings towards each other specially since Cellie is sort of giving up on guys.
